I have multiple questions in a Microsoft form - how do you best test character count

I've read the previous entries. I have multiple questions, word tells me my character count - to include spaces - is less than 4k. I keep getting an exceeding character count error. I simply can't tell which question is off. My max count is 3,150. Word count for all is less than 500. Is there something I'm missing? The form is long answer - I'm a form user not the creator.

    Out of curiosity, if i have 3 long answer questions - that means 4,000 characters per question, correct?

    You can also visit this site to count again your characters. If your character counts have less than 4,000 characters and it still getting a warning regarding the exceeding of characters. You can vote or give suggestions to ms forms UserVoice.

    I have 6 questions in the form. I was told the character count including spaces must be less than 4,000. I assume thats for each question. I wrote answers in word and checked the data. Im below the character count but keep getting exceeding char. Count error. My char count ranges from 3,000 to 2,000. Maybe im misunderstnding the long answer rules.
