I need to know if its possible to install microsoft project on mu mac book pro. I am a young project manager thats accredited in using Microsoft project. I have heard alot people tell me its possible.
i would clarity on the matter before purchasing microsoft project.

Thank you for stating your situation, my name is Victor, a Skype and Microsoft Office Independent Adviser and also a consumer of these products. I will be helping you today.
Since MS Project was designed and optimized specifically for the Windows operating system, MS Project does not work on Mac. The reason being is that MS Project and Mac cannot talk to each other and it wasn't designed for those computers. If people some how manged to make it work, it wouldn't run properly and you may not be able to use it to its full extent since it was made for Windows and not Mac. I am sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.

I've been using Windows and Project on my iMac for many years and there are no performance issues. All you need is a virtual machine which you can get with Parallels, VMware fusion, Boot Camp and others. I use Parallels.
In all cases you need to have a valid Windows OS loaded on the virtual machine before you can load Project.

Yes, you have to have purchase and install Windows as well as Project. You can of course get Mac versions of Office but you might also want to get the Windows version if you need/want to interface Project with other Office apps, such as Excel. I do a fair amount of Project/Excel work on Windows with VBA. It may be possible to interface Project on the Windows environment with Excel on the Mac environment but I've never tried.
