Why does my printer print in Landscape or Portrait A5 when the preview and all settings appear to correct as A4 portrait. It was right when I was using Office Home 2010 and the problem has only occurred since I went to office 365. The page layout icon on the preview is shaded and cannot be used

    Hi Robin,

We’re sorry for the inconvenience caused at your end.

As we can’t see the similar behavior at our end, we would like you check the Page Setup before you try to give a print and check whether all settings are set correct.

Open the Word document> Layout tab> Page Setup> Select Orientation as Portrait in Margins tab and Select A4 for Paper size in Paper tab> Set As Default.

Now click on File> Print> And check under Settings whether they are same as settings given in Page Setup.

Lastly, we suggest you Online repairing Office applications and check the outcome.

In addition, we want to confirm following scenarios for better understanding and moving further:

    a. Does the settings are changed after the document is printed or at the Print page?

    b. Does this behavior occurs in other Office applications?

    c. If possible, can you connect to another printer and check whether it prints based on the Page Setup?

    Appreciate your understanding.

    Regards,

    Chitrahaas
