If your column headings are in Row 1 go to the View tab then click the Freeze Top Row tool in the Window group.

If the column headings are in any other row select a cell in Column A of the row below it then click the Freeze Panes tool in that same group.

Hello! I am an Independent Advisor, I would love to help you out!

It sounds like what you want to do may be to freeze panes to lock rows to always be visible.

I'd recommend viewing this article on the subject:

    https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Freeze...

The information you mainly want from the link is this:

    Freeze the first column

Select View > Freeze Panes > Freeze First Column.

The faint line that appears between Column A and B shows that the first column is frozen.

    Freeze the first two columns

    Select the third column.

Select View > Freeze Panes > Freeze Panes.

    Freeze columns and rows

Select the cell below the rows and to the right of the columns, you want to keep visible when you scroll.

Select View > Freeze Panes > Freeze Panes.

Let me know if this helps!

Another option is to convert your data range to a Table. That not only keeps column headings at the top but also provides a number of other useful features. the the support article:
