I have one question for using a Power point. When I press the right arrow on the keyboard, the cursor is moving to the left(in the opposite direction). This issue appears on the table and text box even. How can I change to the standard direction?

Mason - I had the same issue. In the paragraph section under the Home tab I must have accidentally clicked the Right-to-Left text direction symbol. It looks like the invisible paragraph marker (when you expose it) with an arrow. There are two of these: Left-to-Right and Right-to-Left.

    Hi Madoc,

Really appreciate for your prompt response.

But I think this is not related a version of the Office 365, since this problem occurred when I used a new format is updated by our company. So I'm assuming that there is a function to change the direction of the cursor on the option or somewhere like a Master view. Sorry for confusing you to think it's a program problem, but It looks possible to be handled by some options in my point of view. Please let me know the right way to adjust the feature.

    Thanks,

    Mason

    Hi Manson,

    Thanks for your updates.

You mentioned that the issue occurs when using a new format. Could you please indicates that which format is your company using?

And per this situation, the file may help us better understand and try to fix the issue. Could you prepare and upload an example file you mentioned with no confidential/ sensitive data to OneDrive, then share the link to me via PM? I'd like to have a test from my side.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Best regards,

    Madoc

    Hi Mason,

Sorry for the inconvenience it may have caused you.

I did a test on my side with the latest version of Office 365 for business, but I cannot reproduce the same issue.

To troubleshoot this issue, I’d like to suggest you try these steps:

    1. Update Office 365 to the latest version.

As Office 365 is updated, some issue would be solved. So it’s a good idea to keep Office up to date.

    1. Open PowerPoint in Safe Mode to exclude the impact from third party add-ins, then check the result.
    2. Access to Control Panel > Programs and Features, right-click on Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus, select Change > Online Repair to try to solve this issue.

If the issue persists after completing above steps, we’d like to collect some information to further check the scenario:

    1. Which version of Office 365 do you have?

After opening PowerPoint, click on File > Account, please take a screenshot of the Product Information section and share it with us.

    1. Does this issue also occur on other Office apps like Word, Excel?
    2. When using a non-Office application, do you also encounter this problem?

    Best regards,

    Madoc
