Office 2019 versions compatibility with Windows 10 releases

Hello all,

I'm searching for a laptop with Windows 10 Pro 64 OS and I'm checking the compatible Office 2019 versions I can install. From the relevant web page (https://products.office.com/en-us/office-system-requirements?ms.officeurl=systemrequirements&rtc=1#coreui-contentrichblock-0fnhggf) I see that (for example) Office Professional (Windows-only) and Office Professional Plus 2019 are compatible with Windows 10 SAC, Windows Server 2019, or Windows 10 LTSC 2019. From what I understand, this does not include Windows 10 Pro 64, so I should not purchase any of these Office 2019 versions because they will not be compatible. Is my understanding correct? I would think that Office Professional would work on Windows 10 Pro 64 but I guess it's for Enterprise Windows versions (I believe Windows 10 SAC is part of Windows Enterprise, right?).

I guess I should be checking any Office 2019 suites which are marked as compatible with Windows 10 (only), like for example Office Home & Student or Office Home & Business 2019.

Kindly provide your input so that I purchase a compatible version with Windows 10 Pro 64 OS.

Thank you in advance!

Hi FSword

Rest Assured, all Microsoft Office 2019 versions are compatible with all Windows 10 versions, there is absolutely no version that will not run on any version of Windows 10, wherever you saw that information printed, it is incorrect . . .

Actually I didn't see this information written explicitly; it was just strange that in the system requirements site it was mentioning Windows 10 for certain Office 19 suites and Windows 10 SAC/LTSC etc. for others. This is why I assumed there might be some compatibility differentiation. Good to know there isn't! So I can pick whatever Office 19 version suits me best.

Thank you all for the answers.
