Word Settings - How can I change the margin settings on the header and footer?

In Word, how can I change the margin settings on the Header and Footer?  The regular margin settings do not give me a header and footer option.  Also, where do I find the setting to show rulers?

Perhaps my setting options are limited and there's a place to select more details...

All options for margins and headers/footers can be defined in the Page Setup dialog box. To display it, you can double-click anywhere on the vertical ruler (or the upper part of the horizontal ruler). To transfer your new settings to the template, click Set As Default.

    Hi MRCC Exec Dir,

I wonder if you want to change distance of Header from top and footer from the bottom. If so, you can get it by double click the **footer/header>Position.**As you can see in screenshot below:

To show ruler in word, go to View>under Show>check Ruler. As you can see in screenshot below:

For more information, you can read the article:Video: Hearder,Margins and More.

    Hope these can help you.

    Regards,

    Clark

It just occurred to me that you may want different left and right margins in your headers and footers. If that is the case, in Word jargon, you want different paragraph indents, not page margins.

See Margins and Indents in Word

To show rulers, look on the View tab.
