Hindi Numerals change back to Arabic Numerals in Office 2016 when saved as PDF

Hi everyone,

My Operating System is Windows 10 pro and I have Microsoft Office 2016 installed, when I want to save a word document as a PDF, the Hindi numerals change back to Arabic Numerals.

I uninstalled Office 2016 then installed Office 2010, it works fine.

From Office 2013 to Office 2016, when a word document is saved as a PDF, the Hindi Numerals change back to Arabic Numerals.

I have tried saving a similar word document as PDF using Microsoft Office 2016 on windows 7, it succeeded and the Hindi numerals did not change back to Arabic numerals. The issue seems to occur on windows 10 operating systems only.

My operating system is up to date as well as my Microsoft office along with the PDF reader. I have also tried using a different PDF reader the issue still seems to be present.

If anyone can let me know the solution for this problem I would appreciate it.

Thank you.

In response to your question, there might some unidentified bug with your app. I recommend opening your app in safe mode and repeat the same process. Let's see if this will help.

If not I advise, you go to settings, under add printer and scanners, click on Microsoft print to PDF, and then click on manage.

Now go to your document you should have 'Microsoft print to PDF' enabled under print option. Click on print and save your document. It should open automatically or look for the saved document.

This should fix the problem, let mW know if you need some help or I assist you further.
