Hello,

I am trying to edit a previously created document that has mulitple text and picture boxes. I have tried everything I cant think of to remove them, but there is no option to do so. I can't delete them, the Selection Pane in Layout won't open, not sure what else I can try?

    Hi Stefan,

    I'm using O365.

The Selection Pane does open, and I can see there are Text Boxes and Pictures, but then can't do anything else. When I click Show All, nothing happens, when I click Text Box or Picture, again nothing happens. The options won't expand for me to select and delete them.

Which version of Office are you running?

Do you mean that the Selection pane won't open at all or that it doesn't show the pictures and text boxes?

You can select the entry for an object in the Selection pane and press the Delete key to get rid of it.

Note that if some objects are missing, they might be anchored to the header or footer, in which case you have to activate the header/footer view before you can access them.

But your screen shot shows "Text Box 18" and "Picture 17." Are you saying that those examples are not from the document we are discussing here?

You should be able to select an object by clicking its corresponding entry in the Selection pane.  Then use the Delete key on your keyboard to remove the object.
