I use two languages in Word.

How can I set up different fonts and different sizes for each of them?

If it is the same line or paragraph use a character style for your Sanskrit. You can attach that to a keyboard shortcut. The character style can have the font, the size and the proofing language attribute. When you are done typing in Sanskrit, press Ctrl+Spacebar to return to the underlying paragraph style.

Most definitley, defining a style for the Sanskit text is the way to go as ALL of the attributes that you mention can be set in the definition of the style.

While the Kokila font may not be displayed correctly on my machine, here is an image of a Style that I created with the name of Sanskrit for which the font is set as Kokila 16pt

If you send me a copy of the document\template that you are using, referencing this thread in the covering email message, I will set it up for you.

    Hi

You can use two styles for the different languages. Those styles can include:

    • the font
    • the size
    • the language for proofing

I recommend paragraph styles unless these will be combined in the same paragraph.

    Thank you for ur reply.

This doesn't exactly solve my problem. Let me explain.

I have set up Times Roman with size 12 as my document style. Now in between lines I may be required to type a Sanskrit sentence or word(s). This has a font called Kokila. Automatically the font size picked up is 12. I want 16 only for the Sanskrit Fonts. Every time I type I am required to change the Font Size to 16, manually. The change in style isn't suiting this requirement.

Is this possible, and if so how do I set it up?
