Microsoft Office Account

I bought  an Office 2016 licence from Microkeys of Salford UK.  I received a username and PSW that worked fine on the Office Portal.  Recently went to the portal and get a message "We couldn't find an account with that username".  The Salford Microkeys seems to have disappeared.  Does my Microsoft Account through them disappear as well?  Thanks, Jim

    Hi Dave,

Looks like as you and Ron have said, I have been had.  Fortunately not a lot of money, but I will know for next time.  Thanks for your replies.

Jim, I don't think that  Microkeys  is a UK company at all.  I note that your link gives the message that your account has been suspended.  I think that both websites, that is the one you say is in London and the Manchester one is the same company based somewhere in some far off Eastern Country.

    Hi Ron,

That Microkeys is London based and they are/were not associated with the other (www.the-microkeys.com) from whom I bought.  The info they provided worked while they were alive, it just peeves me that it seems the keys are legit only while the firm you bought from is OK.

    Hi Jim

When you purchase a Microsoft Office licence, you should be provided a Product Code

You then go to Office.com, sign in with your Microsoft Account details, enter the code and office will begin downloading and installing

From then on , your Office account is managed online, by simply logging into office.com, you can transfer your Office licence to another PC . . etc. from there

If the above process is not what you were provided by Microkeys and they had you log in under their login details, then you have been had and you should demand your payment back . . .
