Pretty much the title, I have to change the footer to the subject of the document, I change it, I finish, I save and send. When someone else opens the document they will see my name instead of the document subject's name that it had been when I saved and sent it. I've deleted my name from word in almost every single way (including the autofill setting) except for being logged into word. This doesn't happen to anyone else in the office, just me.
This is hindering my work and is incredibly frustrating.

As you have found, the Document Inspector can be used to remove headers, footers, hidden text, personal information etc.
However, since you mentioned that creating a new document recreated the problem, you will have to scrub your template as well.
If you press ALT+F9 to toggle on the display of the field codes in the document, what do you see in the footer?
On the footer it read: {PAGE\*MERGEFORMAT}
Hi KCJones1,
Sorry for the inconvenience the problem caused for you.
Based on your description, after you change the footer of the document and send it to others, they will see your name instead of document subject. I tested on my side and the result was normal.
You can try to create a new Word document, then insert and change the footer of it to see if the problem happens.
If the problem doesn't happen on the new created one, you can copy-paste the content of problematic document to the new created document to see if it works.
If the problem persists, could you please provide some information for me?
Regards,
Jazlyn
