Change PowerPoint 365 Record Slide Show default camera size and location?

When I "Record Slide Show" in PowerPoint 365 with the Camera turned on, the camera video appears on the slides in the lower right hand corner at a preset size.

I am aware that I can move and resize this video for each slide individually after I have recorded the slide show.

Is there any way to alter the default size and location of the camera video, so that it is positioned differently on all slides by default? Or to alter it on all slides simultaneously after recording? For example, for a particular slide show, it may fit better at a smaller size in the upper left corner. I shouldn't need to make this adjustment for each slide individually.

Thanks,

Adam

    Hi Adam,

Thanks for posting your questions on this community.

According to your description, I did a test on my side, the test result shows that after you've recorded your PowerPoint for Office 365 presentation, the camera video you performed is saved on the individual slides, then you can adjust the size or location or apply it to other slides.

But there is no current option to change the default size and location in PowerPoint, you need to adjust them manually each time when you finished recording. We have a full understanding that it will bring more convenient if this feature can be achieved.

Therefore, if you have further concerns about this feature, we would suggest collecting your idea and suggestion to our UserVoice where the related team often takes good ideas. We will continue to make our products and services better.

    Much appreciate for your understanding.

    Have a nice day.

    Best Regards,

    Higgins

the camera video you performed is saved on the individual slides, then you can adjust the size or location or apply it to other slides.

    Hi Higgins,

    Thanks for your reply.

Can you please explain in more detail how I can apply adjustments to the size or location to other slides? For example, if I want to move the video to the top left corner of all slides, you say that I can do it on one slide and then apply that change to all of my other slides. Please explain how to do that - I wasn't previously aware that was possible.

    Thanks!

    Adam

    Hi Adam,

    Thanks for your quick reply.

Here are some steps you can follow to check the result:

1.when you finished the record, copy this video and then click Slide Master under View Tab

2.In the first slide, copy your video to the location you want and select Close Master View under the Slide Master tab

3.when you return to the Normal view, you will see all the slides are applied to this video.

Please have a try and share the result with us.

    Best Regards,

    Higgins

Have you tried the steps above to check the result?

    Hi Higgins,

I just tried it and it does not work on a couple of counts:

    1. While this does lead to a video in the new size and location on every slide, I'm finding that this is incorrectly playing the samevideo on every slide, instead of playing each slide's own video.
    2. In the actual slides, the video shows up hidden behind the default text blocks in the slide. Note that this happens even though it appears in front of these text blocks in the Master Slide view, and even though I have done "Bring to Front" on it in the master slide view.

    Thanks,

    Adam

    Hi Paul,

    Sorry for the delayed reply.

According to your description, I did a test at my end, in my test, when I add some notes in normal view, it will be displayed in a small note pane. Even though you can adjust text larger or smaller using this feature:

But there is no current option to adjust note pane size, meanwhile, it's surprising that we found some users have post same concern in UserVoice, you can vote here as well. Your efforts will let product developers get a depth understanding of the needs of users and make satisfactory feature updates in the feature.
