Hi.

I’m writing my thesis in word. I see that every page has some space at the end of the page. I would like to have all pages ending at the bottom margin. Please let me know the trick!

Thanks in advance!

See http://wordfaqs.ssbarnhill.com/BottomLine.htm. There are quite a few possibilities, depending on what's in the document.

If you have questions about Suzanne's page that Jay linked, feel free to write back for more help. As you've discovered, there is a bit more to it than setting a margin.

    Thank jay.

This does explain me what I needed. But I realise that this is going to be messy. Let me try and get back ☺️. Still regret not using latex 🥺

Nope. I know how to use the margin.

I want to know how the text in each page can end at the bottom margin without any spacing at the end of page or text jumping to the next page?

    Hi CobaltHit,

I am an independent advisor and a Microsoft user like you, and I would be happy to help you out with this.

Are you using the desktop version of Word? If so, one way to adjust the margins is by selecting View from the ribbon, then in the Show section, enable the Ruler.

Then you can move your mouse cursor to the bottom left of the screen - as you hover over the section that is grey and white, you can click and drag this as you desire.

Alternatively, from the ribbon, you can go to Layout, then Margins > Custom Margins. This will allow you to specify a specific value for the bottom margin.

I hope this has helped you. If this is not what you are looking for, please reply and let us know and we would be happy to look into providing some different suggestions!

    Regards,

    -Ashton
