I have created a Powerpoint slides and added audio/music playing in the background. I can save it as a .pptx slide show and that works fine but when I try to export it as a video file (.mp4), there is no sound in the video. How can I save this as a video file with audio/music? I am not sure why powerpoint export video feature is not keeping audio when exporting video. Please help on this.

    Hi Kenny,

There are two things you need to do to set your slideshow up before you export to mp4. You may want to work with a copy.

    1. Your audio and video need to be triggered to start automatically using animation.
    2. The time for the slides containing these elements must be set to display slightly longer than the audio / video will play.

Turn hardware acceleration on. To do this in PowerPoint, go to File > Options > Advanced, and then under Display, make sure the Disable hardware graphics acceleration checkbox is clear.

Update your application to the latest version if it still occurs. Then if its still there, I suggest an alternate application Like Windows Movie Maker.

Export your presentation (with/out audio ) > open Windows Movie Maker > import video to WMM and sound > insert both in timeline.

From there you can adjust the timing of sounds.

    Hello

    Thanks for reaching out.

And I'll be happy to help you out today.

Be sure that Play background was on.

to check > Select the sound inserted in slide > Playback tab > Audio styles > select Play in Background.

If presentation was too long and you want to just repeat the sound kindly check Rewind after playing under Audio options.

Also, please do check this link on how to export presentation into video format:

If you have more concerns feel free reply.

    Have a nice day !

    Marj :)

    Hi,

I have re-tried but still audio is not showing in my video after converting from pptx. Please see below my steps.

    Option choosed for audio:

Playback --> start--Automatically , Hide during show (yes), Play across slides (yes), Loop untill stopped (yes) and clicked on play background

    How I am doing Export:

File-->Export-->Create Video--> choosed: Presentation Quality and Use Recorded Timings and Narrations and then clicked on "Create Video" and saved in my folder as type MPEG-4 video but gets the following message.

    What message I am getting:

"Some of the media in the presentation cannot be included in this video. Do you want to continute without including the media?

Buttons are available: "Continue without media" and "cancel create video"

    The issue in mp4 video:

Audio is not in my converted video from pptx to mp4.

    Expected behavior:

Wants to include Audio/music in my mp4 video after converting from pptx.
