In a Word Doc. trying to make double sided name place tents. and merge with a list of recipients in a Excel file.  have placed text boxes with <<first name>> <<last name>> fields, one text box inverted to have both sides reading correct once printed cut and folded to stand.  second text box has a <<next record>> field to send to next recipient for next tent. when I do a preview run or a finish and merge run, I get an error. see attach photos.

t

I have only used text boxes, no comments, headers, footers, footnotes, or endnotes.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Because the Text Direction button for tables can't rotate the text 180 degrees, you'll have to set up the table as 1 row by 2 columns, and then rotate the text in the left cell 90 degrees clockwise and the text in the right cell 90 degrees counterclockwise.

You can download an archive - Avery Tent Card Mail Merge Main Documents.zip that contains templates set up to produce tent cards using the three Avery Tent Card products from the following folder of my OneDrive

To position the merge fields, use table cells instead of text boxes.
