Excel - text - underlining display problem

I'm using Excel for Mac 16.33. I'm finding that underlined text in longstanding spreadsheets now appears as if it has 'strikethrough'. Despite trying all sorts of formatting options - cell/row height changes, alignment etc... - I can't resolve the matter. Any ideas?

    PMFJI, but this has all the earmarks of being a duplicate/corrupt font issue... especially if it doesn't occur when displayed on another computer - Mac or PC. What happens if you select that cell & change the font? If that resolves the issue it's another indicator that it's a font issue.

    Run Apple's Font Book to Validate your fonts & to Resolve Duplicates, then restart your Mac to see whether that resolves it.

    Hi Marj

    Strikethrough unchecked - and the line through the '2.00' disappears when I uncheck Underline i.e. the line is the result of underlining. I've tried varying cell and row height, and altering vertical alignment, but to no avail - still get the underline through the '2.00'!

    Perplexing... any other ideas?

    Yours appreciatively

    I see, Can you check if strikethrough was uncheck ;

    if it was, kindly adjust the height of a cell, if you don't want to adjust the height go to alignment and select top align.

    Have a nice day !

    Hi Marj

    Screenshot showing an example of the problem - the number in red is underlined, but looks more like strikethrough to me - and alignment within the cell is at odd with what I've set.

    Any suggestions much appreciated.

    Yours

    Ken
