Hello y'all

I'm trying to create a short cut in powerpoint to switch between the notes section and the slide list on the left. Does it already exist? if not, I'd like to create one. Please help. And thanks,

Brad U

PS. I have spent a fair amount of time looking for the answer. Thanks for any help.

Oh I did find This in my search:

  1. "Select Home tab, click Customize button in the Keyboard Shortcuts group to bring up the Customize Shortcuts dialog box.
  2. In the Customize Shortcuts dialog, locate the appropriate category and the command in that category for which you wish to assign a keyboard shortcut."

But I cannot find the "Customize Shortcuts" group. I'm using Office 2019 Home and Student... It's not the online 365 version of Office

There is no Keyboard Shortcuts group. The writer may have installed an Add-in that creates such a group.

PowerPoint doesn't allow keyboard shortcut creation. The best you can do (without an add-in) is to add commands to the Quick Access Toolbar. If an icon is in the 5th position from the left, Alt + 5 will activate it.

    Hi BradleyUtterback,

We appreciate you raising this query to our attention. We understand that you want to create a shortcut in PowerPoint to switch between notes section and slide lists. However, we tried the steps you posted above and it seems it doesn't exist in our application too. The only customize section that we can see here is the Customize Ribbon option. To access this, just go to File > Options > Customize Ribbon.

In line with this, we highly recommend that you submit a feedback regarding this matter to our PowerPoint UserVoice page. Our developers will collate and review suggestions and incorporate them into product planning discussions. Your feedback will help us improve our products and services.

Should you have further questions, please let us know.
