Is there a simple way in Excel, to make a bunch of sub-lines have the same expand/collapse feature that simply indenting a task does wen working in MS Project?  For instance, in project, the below image would have a little triangle at the "Item 1" line, where you can click to show or hide the Task A-G lines.  How can I achieve the same function with Excel?

Task Name
Item 1
Task A
Task B
Task C
Task D
Task E
Task F
Task G

You can use the Group feature.

Activate the Data tab of the ribbon.

Select the rows of Task A to Task G.

In the Outline group, click Group.

    Repeat for other sub-line groups.

    Hi postingnow,

You can follow the suggestion provided by HansV, you can create an outline of up to eight levels to quickly display summary rows or columns. For your reference: Outline (group) data in a worksheet
