For about a week, my office 365 converts every document and it totally screws up the original format. How can I take this off? The convert box never popped up when opening attachments before.

Before you go through the more extensive steps that Gloria proposed, try this:

Go to File > Options > Advanced and scroll down near the bottom to the General section. If the "Confirm file format conversion" box is checked, clear that check box and click OK. Then try opening a document to see whether the dialog appears.
