Missing "Insert Icon" (Office Professional Plus 2016)

I am one of the IT Helpdesk Associates for the company I work for. I was prompted to research why the "Insert Icon" command was missing from the Ribbon.

Here are the steps we have tried to resolve & bring this feature back:

  1. Quick Repair
  2. Online Repair
  3. Customize Ribbon > All Commands

The "Insert Icon" Command is still missing. I have tried going circles to chat directly with a chat support specialist, but I keep getting sent to a portion of the site that doesn't help me at all! The Learning Center is NOT solving this issue & it is not permitting me to do anything in the Admin Center about this Missing command. So the site is of no use to me.

All I need to know:

  1. Is Business Office 365 able to have the Feature Command to "Insert Icon" because it is no where to be found?
  2. If not, can the company I work for add it?
  3. If so, how do we go about adding this feature for our users?

Our users are very adamant about ahving this feature available for Business 365 if it is not available, it really should be.

    Dihao,

If you will refer to the screenshots I attached, This option is not present. I just tried to "Reset all Customizations", but the "Insert Icon" command is still missing.

    Hi AbernathyB,

Thank you for your reply and sharing the information here. I noticed that your Office version is Office Professional Plus 2016. I will help you move your thread to Office 2016 category.

I am not quite familiar with Office Professional Plus 2016 product. However, based on my experience of Microsoft 365 business product, you can try out the following methods and see the results.

1: Try to find “Insert Icons” option under All Tab and see whether you can add to your ribbon.

2: Try to reset the custom ribbon to default and see the outcomes.

    Best regards,

    Dihao

    Hi AbernathyB,

Sorry for the inconvenience caused. From your description, it seems that all of your Office applications are missing a command in Office Ribbon. May I confirm with you whether the “Insert Icon” command you are referring to is “Icons” command as the screenshot below?

If so, generally, you can find this command under Insert Tab> Illustrations> Shapes> Insert Icons, which this option should come along with Insert tab as long as you enable “Insert” Tab in Option > Custom Ribbon

If not, please share more details about “Insert Icons” you are referring to at your convenience. Thank you.

At meantime, may I know the following information at your convenience?

1: The version of Office application. You can go to File > Account> Under Product Information to find details.

2: Do all the users in your organization missing this “Insert Icon” option in Ribbon?

    Best regards,

    Dihao
