Wrap Text in Tables

I am filling out a form created in Word.  When I type text into the response column, the text doesn't wrap and instead extends beyond the column boundaries.  I've checked the "wrap text" in the table properties but it still isn't working.  I've also tried pasting text from another document into the column without luck.  Help??!!

    Hi DaniceNZ,

Based on your description, you want to wrap text in Word table. And you have already check the "Wrap text" option in table properties.

Text wrapping in Word usually applies automatically in table cells. However, cells won't expand if your rows are set to an exact height. Here are the steps to change the row height:

    1. Click the table.
    2. Click the table move handle to select the table.
    3. Right-click the table, click Table Properties, and then click the Row tab.
    4. Select the Specify height check box.
    5. Click the arrow next to Row height is, and then click At least.
    6. Click OK.

For more details, you can refer to this article: Set table cells to expand with contents in Word.

If the problem persists, could you please provide some information for me?

    1. The screenshot of your Word version, please go File > Account > Product Information column.
    2. If you create a new file and table, will the same problem occur?

    Best regards,

    Jazlyn
