How do I turn off odd/even pages in MS Word (is this a bug?)

The standard template for MSWord has "Show different odd/even pages" turned ON as the default.

When I turn it off, it stays off until I save the document again and then it turns it back on. Is this a bug? How can I keep it turned off?

    Hi

If this is showing up in your new documents, you would want to edit the normal template.

To do this open that template for editing. You cannot do this by double-clicking on it; that simply gives you a new document. Here are my instructions for opening the normal template.

You should also check under the Layout Tab for margins whether you have Mirror Margins set.

Once you have change the settings, save and close the normal template. There should be no text in the normal template.
