hi all,

May I know how do I adjust arrows already created, straight please?

They seem to snap to a certain grid which I have already disabled.

Regards,

Cornelius

Select the arrow and set either its height (for a horizontal arrow) or width (for a vertical arrow) to 0 in the Size section of the Shape Format tab of the ribbon.

When inserting an arrow, if you hold down the SHIFT key while drawing it, it will be constrained to either the horizontal of vertical alignment.

Click on the Arrow - Now Format tab will be enabled - Change the Height to 0

(Same thing you can do it through - Right click on Arrow - More layout options - Size tab)

    Hi V.Arya,

Thank you for your kind reply.

    Please see attached.

You will notice that the head and tail of any of those arrows drawn will never be on the same plane.

    Hope this helps.

How are you creating these arrows?

    .

If you are using Insert tab > Insert Shapes group try turning on "Snap to grid"

    .

With the line selected go into the Shape Format contextual tab > Arrange group > Align drop down > Grid settings command.

    .

In the "Grid and Guides" dialog turn on "Display gridlines on screen" and "Snap objects to grid whe gridlines are displayed"  This will make it easier to drag the ends of the line onto a horizontal gridline.
