When I copy a column, a pop-up appears which blocks my view.  The pop-up has a drop down menu:

Keep Source formatting

Use Destination Theme

Match Destination formatting

Values only

Values and number formatting

Values and source formatting

Keep source column widths

Formatting only

Link cells

How do I prevent this from happening?

I'm assuming you mean that the "pop-up" actually appears when you paste, not when you copy, correct? If so it is the Paste Options button as AaAa_08 mentioned, but you do not need to disable the feature. Just press the esc key when it appears.

If something is popping up when you copy please provide a screen shot, the present Version of your Office software [as indicated in Excel> About Microsoft Excel] as well as additional descriptive details about the exact steps to reproduce.

Thanks very much for your answer.  It solved the problem.

You were correct when you said it was during the "Paste" process that the pop-up appeared, not the copying process.
