SK,  Microsoft has made it difficult for users to understand as there are two Product Keys for Office, with very different functions.  The Product Key which I think you are referring to is provided by vendors and used to setup Office for the first time.  That Product Key is irretrievable, which is in fact a Redemption Key or Entitlement Key.  It cannot be found on the computer or online.

The second Product which is actually the Licence Key can be found at your Office Account here: https://account.microsoft.com/services/  Or you can use Command Prompt to get the last 5 characters of this Product Key.

If you are suddenly being prompted to activate Office, the prompt could be from a trial version of Office 365 which is installed alongside your full version. Uninstall the trial version.

Which specific version of Office 2013 are you running? Note that if Office was preinstalled by a computer manufacturer, it can't be transferred to another computer.

Also, have a look at the article at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/where-to-enter-your-office-product-key-0a82e5ae-739e-4b92-a6f4-2ec780c185db, if you haven't already done so.
