    The only way to check if that key is valid is to try to install Office using that licence key at the link below:

    https://setup.office.com/Home

    That will either succeed, or you will be notified it is not correct . . .

    Note: there is a significant difference between Office Professional and Office Professional Plus!

    MS does not provide a product key validation service. You have to use it.

    .

    There is one other option.  Start the phone activation process. When you phone in, wait for the option to talk to a live "service" rep <giggle>. They can validate the key for you without using it.
