Hello everyone,

I need your help,

I have the Microsoft 365 Subscription  / Version 16.39,

I took couple of screen recordings and added in the slides in my presentation (files from computer)

All videos play in PPT version but when I 'save as' or 'export' the file as PDF the videos come out as pictures,

I've checked the format , they are all correct,

Cannot find any explanation about this,

Could you please help ?

Thank you all,

The funny thing is in PPT version I can add videos and play them on the page as I am going through slides,

This is helpful when presenting something face to face, I can simply open the PPT document and show everything on my slides

Howeve,r if I need to email my presentation  suddenly videos become disfunctional and automatically turned into images, which doesn't help for overall content and wow effect

Let's see how Microsoft will respond to this suggestion

    Hi Sinan

What software are you using to create the PDF, are you using the PDF functionality in PowerPoint?

If so, that cannot create an Interactive PDF with the built-in PDF functionality, just Text and images,

To create an Interactive PDF, you would need professional software like Adobe Acrobat or other PDF creation software that can handle interactivity . . .

    What an intersting idea!

Here's the help topic on inserting videos using Adobe Acrobat. There are a lot of settings to consider. PowerPoint has no interface to enable you to set these parameters.

Playing video, audio, and multimedia formats in PDFs ...

I've never had a PDF that contained a video. I wonder if Preview.app can play them.

Microsoft has a feature suggestion site where you can make suggestions and feature requests. I looked through all suggestions regarding PDF and didn't see any requests like this one. I urge you to post your idea on the site:

PowerPoint for Mac If you have PowerPoint for Mac installed on your computer.

    Oh thank you,

I used to create presentations on inDesign so I guess I expected more from Microsoft =)

It never crossed my mind that there wouldn't be any options for playing a video

    Thank you very much!
