Hi Henry,

Thank you for the reply.

You mentioned that you will re-install Windows 10 system on your laptop, then you can directly download Office on your new Windows 10 system according to this article: Download and re-install Office.

If you still encounter problems when installing Office after re-install Windows 10 system, please feel free to post back.

Best regards,

Jazlyn

    Hi Henry,

    Thank you for the update.

It seems that the problem persists after re-installing the Windows 10 system on your device.

Please disable the firewall and the antivirus software temporarily while updating or installing the Microsoft Office.

Then you can try to install Office via ODT to check the result. For the detailed steps, you can refer to the marked reply in this thread: Installing Microsoft Office hangs at 51%

If the problem persists, could you please provide the screenshot of the full error message for me?

    Best regards,

    Jazlyn

    Hi Jazlyn

I am still getting the same error.  Halfway thru the installation, the error message appears stating that something went wrong and the same error code is displayed.

Advise on what I should do next?

    regards,

    Henry

    Hi Jazlyn

I had to reinstall Windows10 on my laptop because after a Windows update my laptop was messed up.  Therefore, I do not have to do complete install of OFFICE.

Can you please advise what I should do next

    Hi Henry,

Thank you for posting your query in our community.

Based on your description, when you try to install Office on your device, an error will pop up to prevent you from installing it.

You can try to Completely uninstall Office with the uninstall support tool on your device first and then Download and re-install Office to see if you can install it successfully.

If the problem persists, could you please provide some information for me?

    1.       The screenshot of the full error message.

    2.       Where did you install Office from?

    Best regards,

    Jazlyn
