Option to shut down server while on battery without vendor software

Server 2016, 2019, 2022.

Some are Hyper-V hosts

I have a UPS battery hooked up to my servers.

The OS can see the battery without vendor software.

I am not confident in the vendor's software ability to shutdown my servers in a power outage (APC powerchute personal 3.0.2).

I am not seeing any option to shut down the server after being on battery for a certain duration.

Is there an option for this in Windows server and how do I enable it?

Native windows does not need a 3rd party driver, you can use the advanced section inside the power setup.
This is assuming you are connected directly to your UPS (ie USB) and windows is already seeing the battery levels.

Under server 2019 it is done through the "power & sleep" section and "additional power settings"
Modify your current plan by clicking on "change plan settings"
    click "change advanced power settings"
break open the "battery" section and adjust "low battery action" and "on battery" to "shutdown"
if you want to change the threshold for the action to happen just adjust the "low battery level" section inside that option as well.
