How to get rid of 4-way arrow cursor in MS Word for Mac 2011?

Pressing the ESC key doesn't help.

    Cursors with up, down, left and right arrows appear when a draggable object is selected. To make the cursor change, click somewhere else on the page to deselect the object.

    You can also change cursors by writing a VBA macro. There is nothing in the program interface to do this.
