Showing Future Tasks as "Late"

Hi I have few sub tasks which are set to future dates but this set of tasks are making the summary tasks go to "Late". Even when I put the progress status as 100% and the status goes to "complete" it still shows as late. :(

    Victoria Cupcake,

    What is the status date? Per the Project help, a task is shown as "late" If the timephased cumulative percent complete does not reach midnight on the day before the status date, then the Status field contains Late.

    So, take a look at the Cumulative Percent Complete for each summary line (Task Usage view) and compare it to the Status Date.

    The comparison John suggests would be straightforward using a custom date field to estimate the "Complete Through" date using the formula: =ProjDateAdd([Actual Start],[Actual Duration]). 

    It's effectively the same as applying a percent complete to the task's duration.  Be sure to "Use formula" for summary tasks.  When the resulting value is less than the midnight before the Status Date, then the in-progress tasks will be marked  "Late".  (The formula generates errors for unstarted tasks; ignore them.)     Okay, then did you compare the cumulative percent complete of the summary line(s) to the Status Date?

    Also, what version of Project are you using?

    Status date was set as 03/09/2020 and I set it to 04/09/2020 and it still shows as late. :(
