Dear MS WORD Experts,

Is there any Tool or Add-In's to Insert Letterheads in MS Word to use whenever and whichever is required in a single click. I have 3 different firm's letterheads, these need to be saved or stored somewhere in ms word to use whenever and whichever letterhead is required in a single click or single selection.

Currently, we first preparing communication content, then we open letterhead and, then we copy the communication content to Letterhead.

Every day, we prepare around 30 communication letters in MS Word document to send our customers, these communication letters, we send on our 3 different firm letterheads (10 communication letters on each letterhead).

This process irritates a lot, opening different letterhead for each communication letter every time takes a lot of time.

Please help me out.

Thanks in Advance.

You can create a Header quick part or AutoText entry for each firm letterhead. With the insertion point in the desired header, select the entire header content and, on the contextual Header & Footer Tools | Design tab, in the Header & Footer group, click Header, then Save Selection to Header Gallery... Choose a name for the letterhead and click OK. In a blank document, you can then select this header.

If you're using a specific template (rather than Normal.dotm) for the letters, it may be helpful to save the header or AutoText in that template rather than in BuildingBlocks.dotx.

Simplest is to have separate templates with the letterhead built in.

See: Setting Up Letter Templates - Ribbon by Suzanne Barnhill, MVP

However, if you go with AutoText or Header Building Blocks, you can create a building blocks gallery control on your QAT that only references the letterheads.

Build & Deploy Custom Building Block Galleries by Greg Maxey

When naming your AutoText or building blocks, do not use the name suggested by Word. Rather pick one that has unique characters in the first four characters of the name and which you can remember. Use a separate (custom) category for your building blocks.

    Thank you so much.

Tried in DESIGN - Header & Footer Tools, it's working, but when I open a new word file, the saved Header & Footer is not showing in H&F Tool.

Your reply is really helped me. I have tried this way Design - Insert - Quick Parts - Autotext. Saved in Autotext Gallery. Now, it's perfectly working.

    Once again Thanks a Ton.

I didn't suggest letter templates because it appears they're already using them, just needing to switch out the letterhead.
