Hi John ,

Thank you  That worked . But if I may ask you ...

Micro soft on Mac is giving me headaches to form a booklet .

With the help of you guys I have been able to start formatting .

Yet  it also keeps giving me windows stating to arrange margins .

Please bear with me for a Moment . I am a senior citizen and have been locked inside my apartment ever since last March .

I am getting very nervous and I had hoped that with MICROSOFT WORD  on my Mac it may help me to write my book .

What I really need is the sequence .

Kind regards John

    @All

This entire series of messages is due to conflicting terminology. This is made evident in the OP's reply dated 11/20.

From the onset the OP has been referring to Booklet layout which has been interpreted by everyone [including myself] to mean Book Fold. In Word these terms are used interchangeably & pertain to a specific feature which prints multiple pages on a single sheet. The final output is then folded to produce a booklet. That incorporates printing on both sides but in a specific order, which is why Two-sided printing is not available for Book Fold documents.

What the OP actually was looking for is how to set up Mirrored Margins [aka, Facing Pages]. This is completely different from Book Fold & is handled in a totally different manner... One primary distinction being that each page typically is printed on separate full-size sheets which are to be bound rather than being folded. IOW, a book not a booklet. Also, Mirrored Margins allows for - but doesn't require - Two-sided printing. That's why the replies he received did not provide the desired result & that Two-sided printing is available for his other documents.

    HI John ,

I hope that what I am about to say here might raise  few eyebrows .

I followed the procedure  by pressing on the layout tab ,

Accordingly I am supposed to press book fold

    I did not

I pressed the mirroring tab .

    and presto

    the booklet form

this is a puzzling situation with MS ob High Sierra Mac

    regards John

    Hi John and John

I split John's reply off so that John doesn't have to make a new question as John requested.

This is a new question, so please start a new thread with screen shots that show what problems you're having.

I write my books in Word, so it's certainly possible.
