Onenote - Drawing cursor too small

When using a digital pen in drawing mode, the cursor on the screen is basically invisible. This has been an ongoing issue for several years. Yes, there are 3rd party programs that can be used to do some cursor enhancement, but these use more resources and can be unreliable. Clearly, the solution is for Microsoft to fix the problem; either make the cursor bigger, or give the user the option to make the cursor bigger.

Onenote is one of the more useful programs for note taking, idea organization, and presentation tool on the market. The question becomes: Why is Microsoft so stubborn about fixing this problem?

Thank you for your response. What you suggest does change the size (and other attributes) of the mouse pointer. However, in OneNote, including the version for Windows 10, it does not affect the size of the drawing cursor; it's still about a pixel in size. I should explain that this is after choosing the Draw tab and then the black pen tool.

    Mmmmmmhhh ...

For me it works, with a Surface Pen on a Surface Pro 7 and Windows 10 Version 2004.

I am glad that you are able to adjust the cursor size when using the drawing app inside OneNote. It may have something to do with how a Surface Pen is handled on a Surface Pro. What ever code is being used on the Surface Pro should be copied over to the regular PC Windows versions.

On a Windows 10 2004 desktop PC, with mouse or pen, I get a tiny, one pixel cursor. It's been a common problem since the early days of OneNote, and there are a great many posts on the boards about OneNote complaining about the problem. I just cannot figure why Microsoft has not fixed the problem. Obviously it has a fix since you are able to control the drawing cursor size on your Surface.

Thanks again for trying to help.

You find it in the Windows 10 settings (works at least for OneNote for Windows 10):
