Printing problem in Office 365

I recently upgraded from Office 2016 to Office 365 and now I am having trouble printing documents.  When I try to print an A4 document Word prints to a much larger paper size than A4, it looks like 4 times the size, and the text appears in the top middle of the page in tiny print.  The page size is set to A4 in Word.  The page size is set to A4 in Printer Properties.  My printer is a Canon MX925 and I have checked that the printer drivers are up to date.  Can anyone help please?

Below is a screenshot of the Print Preview dialogue.  The preview is correct, this is what I get if I actually print the document.

I have now fixed my problem.  I accessed the Printing Preferences via Settings>Devices>Printers & Scanners>Canon MX920 series printer>Manage and discovered the Page Size was set to Custom (279 by 291).  I don't know when or how that happened.   Setting it back to A4 fixed the problem.

I am posting this in case anyone else has a similar problem.

Does the page appear "normal" in Print Layout View?

In the Backstage Print View, check what is set under the Page per Sheet\Scale to Paper Size in the Backstage Print view

    Dear Arck

Thank you for your reply,  I wasn't on the latest version (although I don't understand why not, given I have only just purchased the product)  but I have now downloaded the updates and am now on the same version as you.  Unfortunately it hasn't solved the problem.

The Print Preview pane in Word looks completely normal. Pressing the print button from here makes no difference to the outcome.  The output is not scaled.

    Regards,

    Steve

    Dear Doug

Thank you for your suggestion.  The page does look normal in Page Layout View and No Scaling is set.

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the community, I'm glad to offer help.

Generally, if we go to File > Print, the image displayed in the print preview pane is the page we actually get after printing.

In your case, could you please to the preview pane within Word (not the printer driver) and check the page size and scale settings? If it displays properly, what will happen if you click the Print button within Word directly?

Besides, please make sure you have updated to the latest version of Office, and go to File > Account to provide a screenshot of your Product Information, it would be helpful for us to check if it is an issue with certain version, as shown below, please note to mask your email address.

Please feel free to let me know if there is any progress, I'll continue to help you.

    Best Regards,

    Arck
