Task length limitation in To-Do

How do I overcome task length limit of 248 characters in To-Do?

Why it is limited in the first place? I copied my tasks from a Word document and due to this limitations lost data. Now I have to do extra work.

"To Do" is a task reminder only you are apparently trying to use it for something else, which it was not designed for

Just for the record - I am using "To Do" only and exclusively for notes and tasks. Only. Some notes where maybe 350-400, just few of them up to 500 symbols max. I do not find this excessive or something mega big so Microsoft could can't handle it.

And also - you did not answer my question, so I will take it as "No".

    Thank you.

I find it very easy for a task/note to be more than 248 symbols. Like with no problem at all. And all notes, that where longer than 248 symbols where truncated during copy. So anything after the 248th symbols was lost.

What I do, is test software. My findings are a result of a series of accomplished test cases. So to recover lost sentence, i need to go through test cases again. Even if I loose just one sentence, it is critical to me.

Also, my One Drive has 1 TB of space. Why it's a big deal to have longer notes?

I just found that some of my notes where incomplete, just truncated to 248 symbols and I was frustrated. I just did not expect the length of the notes/tasks to be the problem.

So, if there any way to overcome this problem? Otherwise To-Do is no use to me.

I find it hard to see how you would need more than 248 characters in any Task, as that's all it is a task/reminder, and how could any task lose any word data?
