Equation option not showing any equations In word 2016

If you delete the Built-In Building Blocks.dotx file and also repair Office, does that make a difference?

Suzanne has explained which path you should look for. You may have to display hidden files and folders in File Explorer to locate the correct folder.

Exit Word and rename the Built-in Building Blocks.dotx file which stores the predefined Building Blocks in Word. When you restart Word, the file will be recreated with factory defaults. Does that fix the problem?

If the issue doesn’t occur while in safe mode, you may perform the following steps and see if that would resolve the concern:

1. Open any of the Office app, click File > Option > Add-ins, then click Go in the Manage: COM Add-ins.
2. Clear the checkbox if you'll see any add-ins, then disable them.
3. Close the Word app and relaunch it after.

4. Check if you’ll now see the sample equations under the Equation option.

Sorry for the delay in reply. I am using Microsoft office professional plus 2016.Issue comes when i first installed office 2016.Actually before office 2016,i was working on office 2013.However due to same problem in equation inserting, I uninstall that and installed office 2016. This problem also in excel 2016 as well. And when I open word in safe mode, then also blank boxes comes under built in equation option.
