Office Word 2010 template (Calendar Wizard) not in Word 365

The template I had in office 2010, Calender Wizard, will not install in 365.

I have found it on Microsoft.com but it will only install to Word 2010.

Is there a way that I can get this template to download to Word 365 as it is a very good template and I have not found another that does the same job.

If you post the URL of the web page on which you found the template, I will take a look and see what needs to be done to use it in Microsoft 365.

    You can do this yourself.

    • First download the file. You can put it on your desktop if you want. It will show up in your downloads folder.

    • Then re-name the file by changing the extension. Disregard the warnings about not being able to use it. Change the last three letters from "wiz" to "dot."
    • You may want to change the actual name to something like "Calendar Wizard.dot."
    • Right-click on it an Open it in Word. You do not need to enable any macros at this point. This is completely blank. Do not add anything to it.
    • Save the file as a macro-enabled template (.dotm). That should put it in your Custom Office Templates folder. If it is not, place the file in your Custom Office Templates folder.
    • You can delete the earlier versions of the file.

Here is a temporary link to the file I created this way from your download link.

I do not know that it is any different, but it may be.

One way to use it would be to right-click on it to open it. It will be a blank page.

Then use File > SaveAs to save it as a .dot file. Then use File>SaveAs to save it again as a .dotm file. That should put it in your Custom Office Templates folder.

I do not know if it is any different from my original file but the new one is formatted for English - Great Britain. Mine is English - US.  There may be differences.

Apparently files with the .wiz extension are no longer used in Word 365. I converted it to .dotm. Here is a temporary link that should work.

Remember to download it so you can use it in the future.

The process was to download the file in Word 2010. That puts the wizard file in templates. Then I changed the extension to .dot. I opened that file and saved it as a .dotm file.

Actually, I find I prefer calendars set up in Excel. They provide better functionality. You can update them and just print out the current portion you need.
