How to Uninstall OneDrive app from Android smartphone?

Hi.

I've got Samsung A10 with latest OS update.

I installed OneDrive app via Play Store.

Later i decided to uninstall app. And it turned out that i don't have Unistall option in app details; Disable and Uninstall Updates only.

In Play Store i found Uninstall button which turned out to do the same as Uninstall Updates from settings.

After i pressed Uninstall button in Play Store, it supposedly uninstalled all updates, yet the app is still installed and the only button under the app's name is Enable. The same is correct for app settings inside device settings menu.

I tried to clear cache and app data; I tried to restart the device; I tried to reset app defaults of entire OS from system menu;  - this does not affect any of options or buttons of OneDrive app.

The app was not preinstalled in time of purchase. I never used it and never signed in.The device was never rooted and it is on its factory configuration.

Rooting or Wiping or Resetting device is not an option.

How do I uninstall the OneDrive app completely?

Based on the information provided, you’ve already tried uninstalling the OneDrive app from the Settings app of your device and through the Play Store which also didn’t give you the option to completely uninstall the app. Having said that, it would be best to reach out with OneDrive in-app support team for assistance. They may need to check at the back-end service, as to why it’s not letting you uninstall it and provide alternatives on how to perform this action.

Unfortunately rest has not assured that this concern will be properly taken care of by OneDrive In-app support.

In response to my appeal I've got an explanation:

"According to your concern, I would like to share that in Augustthis year, Samsung and Microsoft announced an expanded partnership that will seeGalaxy devices come preloaded with many of Microsoft’s Android apps and services. At the time of the announcement, Samsung announced OneDrive integration as outcomes of the collaboration.

Therefore, OneDrive applications comes pre-installed in Samsung devices and it can not be uninstalled.

You can certainly uninstall the updates or disable the app as you mentioned. "

    And when i replied:

"The device was purchased before August this year and it did not contain any of Microsoft apps. "

    I've got another response:

"If you are looking to uninstall it, then you would need to get in touch with Samsung support.

Use this link to contact Samsung: https://www.samsung.com/support/   "

Which essentially sums up the case as the denial of responsibility*.*

This does not solve my problem. Though your initial reply can pass as Microsoft answer for history.

    Regards.

Thanks for a clear and factual response.

I work in IT support. By virtue of my position i need to test and integrate various personal devices taking into account privacy and integrity of owners' personal data or integrity of their devices, and without compromising my own personal or corporate data as well.

That is i cannot use any option which involve signing into OneDrive app on personally owned devices.

I need general approach, whether a official Microsoft patch or step-by-step guidance to perform on various devices to uninstall the app or, at least, to give a directed response to owners of devices.

Meanwhile i have submitted the case to OneDrive support by the link you provided ( Email OneDrive support ) via my personal account.

    Regards.
