Hello,

I need to bring in custom task fields from Project Server.  I cannot find where the values are stored to be able to link them to the task table via OData feed  in Power Query for Excel.

Any thoughts?

Thank you!

    Hi Joel.Schaefer,

That seems to be Project online. Once you query, you should see the tasks in the navigator window along with the column, as shown below.

    Thanks,

    Neha

I might be calling it the wrong thing.  The Project Server is at https://ourdomain.sharepoint.com/sites/pwa/ .  Would this be considered Project Online or Project Server?

I am actually able to query the tables in Project Server via OData.  I am having a hard time identifying where Custom Fields for tasks are stored.

    Hi Joel.Schaefer,

Usually, when connecting Project Online with Excel via OData, url can be found by navigating to the PWA site. Paste the copied URL in the OData Feed dialog box and add “/_api/projectdata” to the end. Click OK.

Here’s an article related to Project online and Excel. You can check the following article, see if this applies in Project Server scenario.

Project Online: Updating OData connections in Excel for different PWA instances

Since you are using Project server, the URL might differ and if you still need help, we’ll request your post in Microsoft Q & A forum for assistance.

The reason we request you to post a new thread is that in Answers forum, we have limited resources and very little knowledge about Project Server, as we deal with Microsoft 365/Project online services and in Microsoft Q & A forum, you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction.

Thanks for your understanding and co-operation.

    With sincerest regards,

    Neha
