Microsoft Family Safety Max Scheduled Time off by 6:16?

I have been using the family safety app for awhile without issue.  Over the winter break I have only been restricting from 3 a.m. to 7 a.m. 7 days a week using the blocked time option.  I had to do this by selecting Max Scheduled and allowing from 12 a.m. to 3 a.m. and another allowed interval from 7 a.m. to 12 a.m.  12 a.m. is listed twice (once at the start of the day and once at the end) and selecting the top and bottom 12 a.m. for the two intervals seemed to be working fine.  Tonight (12/24) the program locked the win10 computer at 8:44 p.m. for some reason.  I am assuming Microsoft's server's clock got off?  Computer still showed my correct time zone and time.  Anyone else experience this?

The email asking for more time was received 12/24 8:43 p.m.  but the text in the email says my kid requested more time on 12/25 3:43 a.m.

It looks like Microsoft has got the time off somewhere.

Hi Sean. I'm Greg, awarded MVP for eleven years, Volunteer Moderator, and Independent Advisor here to help you until this is resolved.

    1. On each affected PC: Right click the Time and date at right end of Taskbar, Choose Adjust Date/Time,

In pop up box scroll down to Related Settings , choose Date, Time & Regional Settings

In Popup again under Related Settings, scroll down to choose Additional date, time & regional settings.

In popup under Date & Time, choose Set the Time and Date.

Then click on Internet Time tab, and Change Settings, tick the box to Synchronize with an Internet Time Server, change the Time server in drop down menu, then choose Update Now, then OK on small box, OK on large box.

    1. What works most to fix Family Safety issues is to remove the child, sign out of Family Safety, restart PC, sign back in to add the child back:

There are guides to Family Safety to review here:

There are paid alternatives that reportedly work better, like Net Nanny here which includes full support with annual subscription: https://www.netnanny.com/?utm_expid=.hzApWHJ5Te...

There is more information for Troubleshooting Family Safety here attended by a Family Safety rep here:

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted. If you will wait to choose if I solved your problem, I will keep working with you until it's resolved.
