I need to re-install Microsoft Office Home & Student 2007 on a new laptop that has no CD drive.  How can I do this?  I still have the original CD and the product key.  However, the links I've found online (to find program files for downloading) are all obsolete.  Thank you.

Since Office 2007 is out of support, you can't download it from Microsoft any more. You will have to find an external CD or DVD so that you can copy the installation files to your hard drive.

I have a similar situation, New Laptop with no CD drive, have Office 2007 diskettes  & Product Key, also have an older PC with CD Drive.  Can CD be Copied to Thumbdrive and Installed on New Laptop hardrive?  If so, please provide steps to install Office 2007 on the new Laptop.  Thank you.

I bought an external CD/DVD reader today and was able to install the software now.  Thanks for your help!

Actually, before I bought an external hard disk and succeeded in installing Office 2007 in my new laptop, I did try to copy all the program files from my old laptop onto a USB stick and then transferred the files to my new laptop.  I then tried to install Office 2007 on my new laptop, but the installation didn't work.  I forgot the error message.

Good luck and hope it'll work for you.  If not, at least you know you can get an external hard disk to get the job done.

You should be able to copy all the content of the CD to the thumb drive and then copy from the thumb drive to the hard drive of your new laptop. Just run the setup file to start installation. If you run into trouble activating, see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/-telephone-activation-is-no-longer-supported-for-your-product-error-when-activating-office-9b016cd2-0811-4cb3-b896-5a6a13177713.
