How to print a booklet (4 sheets) in Word 16 to a duplex printer with an iMac?

I have Word 16 for my iMac.  I have a formatted church bulletin sent to me to print off in book format.  I am using my iMac (2017) and trying to print to my Samsung laser printer (duplex).  I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get it to print all four pages (2 to a side) onto one sheet!  I have tried many of the suggestions I've found online, including suggestions from Apple, but to no avail.  The closest I get is all four pages onto one side of one sheet!  And the pages have different widths (even though they should all have the same width).  The first and 3rd pages are extra wide and pages 2 and 4 are pushed to overflow the sheet.  Help!

    Work intended to be printed as a Booklet is best handled by starting off that way rather than trying to impose the layout after the fact. There are too many variables for anyone to directly address how to do so having never even seen the document in question. For just one example, each side of a sheet will require 4 margins [2 Left/2 Right] rather than just 1 left & 1 right... That also raises the question of whether a Gutter is to be used & if so what its width is to be.

    Another consideration is the specific Version of Mac Office, macOS & print driver you're using: Even if all correct steps are being followed the result could be sub-optimal if either of those is not fully updated.

    The basic procedure is described below based on starting with a new blank 8.5x11 document. Perhaps that will provide some direction;

    1. Go to Format> Document- Marginsin the main menu
      1. Set the appropriate Margin values
      2. If any additional space is wanted between the content of internal pages specify a Gutter value
      3. Select Book Fold from the Multiple Pages dropdown menu
      4. Select the number of Sheets in booklet [in your case, All or 4]
    2. Make any necessary changes to the settings on the Layout pane
    3. Click the Page Setupbutton
      1. Confirm the Paper Size
      2. Click the Landscape Orientation button
    4. OK out of both dialogs
    5. Enter the content, add page numbering, etc. as you would in any other document. The specified pagination will be imposed as those changes are made. However, the pages will be displayed in sequential order, not the order in which they actually will print.

    When you print, Do Not be misled by how the content is presented in the Quick Preview. It probably will show as 4 separate pages, each with content  only on the left side. Select the Two-sided/Duplex preferred settings offered by your print driver [most likely to include Short-Edge Binding] & confirm on the Layout pane of the Print dialog that the number of Pages per Sheet is set to 1. [Note that the Quick Preview still will not display differently.]

    If you want to confirm before printing to paper click the PDF button & select the Open in Preview option. The first sheet shown will display pages 4 & 1 side-by-side, the second sheet will display pages 2 & 3. The Duplex feature will print the first set of pages on one side (outside of the Booklet) of a sheet, the second set (inside pages) will be printed on the reverse side of the sheet.

    Can anyone help me with printing a booklet from 4 pages (each 1/2 sheet, and into one whole sheet front and back)?  I am opening an e-mail with the pages to be printed, and trying to use my iMac (2017) to print to my Samsung duplex B&W laser printer.

    Thanks for any help you can provide.
