This has been like a "****"

Purchasing a new computer I was forced to create a new MSN account - personal

Shortly thereafter I needed to get a 365 office subscription which I purchased through GoDaddy using my business email.

Added the the new email (business) using the family account option underneath the personal MSN account. Try to sign in again and am told that email (business) doesn't exist. Try to sign in with phone number, "That number is already in use.

I will "never" use the personal MSN account. I only need it to get business things completed

What's the deal?

    Hello GJ_itsAlrit,

In Microsoft 365, a Microsoft account is an email address and password that you use with Outlook.com, Hotmail, Office, OneDrive, Skype, Xbox, and Windows, it's a free account you use to access many Microsoft devices and services. While, work or school accounts are usually associated with Microsoft 365 for business products and it is required to install and activate Microsoft 365 and Office versions 2013 or later. For the detailed instructions, here is an article for your reference: What account to use with Office and you need one.

However, since your 365 office subscription is purchased through GoDaddy, and GoDaddy is a syndicate partner of Microsoft, that has different services and structures from Microsoft Office 365, to help you better, we recommend you may also contact with Godaddy for more targeted assistance on your concerns.

Your understanding and cooperation will be highly appreciated.

    Best regards,

    Jennifer

    Jennifer,

I haven't tried to add a business account. Why should this be separate if I'm the same person?

The 365 office was opened, purchased  and installed using an email created with godaddy. I added this email to the family account.

You are saying I should open a MSN business account? If I do this the 365 Office will be associated with the business account?

A 365 version purchased via GoDaddy is not associated with any MS Account its a GoDaddy account  and you have to log on to GoDaddy to install it, or reinstall

Its also an all or nothing version
