Hi Valarie (AIT),
From your post, we understand you are using Snagit app to share screenshots with PowerPoint, but the screenshot overwrites the same slide instead of pasting into a new slide.
Since the screenshot is sent from Snagit, I believe the settings whether the screenshot will be placed in same slide or a new should be controlled in the Snagit apps itself. So, I searched more to find the settings, it appears you have to change the Share settings in the Snagit app as shown below.
Reference: Share Captures
As you are using a third-party app (Snagit) to share the images with PowerPoint, if the above settings didn’t help fix the issue, we’ll suggest you post in TechSmith User Community for expert assistance.
Here’s a post your reference: Image from Snagit to Powerpoint
The reason we request you to post a new thread is that, in Answers forum, we deal with the issues/queries related to Microsoft 365 services and we have limited resources and very little knowledge about Snagit app and in TechSmith User Community, you will get the most qualified pool of respondents, and other partners who read the forums regularly can either share their knowledge or learn from your interaction.
