Hi.

I've embedded a PDF file into PowerPoint. I have linked the pdf "open" with the action tab. When I go into presentation mode the PDF won't open. Getting back into normal mode the name text of the PDF disappears?

This is what I have been doing all along.  As I said before, in Normal mode, it opens. Once in presentation (slide show) mode, it does not open at all, and in parallel, when going back to normal mode, it loses the name of the PDF file.

I tried by opening acrobat in the background. It opens the opens the PDF as it should do in the PowerPoint presentation, but it does this only once. Then when you try the next pdf I get the same errors.

Hi, MarcoAndreani. My name is Hilla. I am an independent advisor, Thanks for being part of the Microsoft Community, I will to help you.

I can suggest to you is try to uninstall acrobat completely then reinstall it and check what happens. If it doesn't work try to disable the protected view

    1. Click File > Options.
    2. Click Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Protected View.
    3. Uncheck Enable Protected View for files originating from the internet. In some cases moving the file to a trusted location like the Desktop can cause PowerPoint to trust the file.
