How to use Microsoft Word fully on Android without paying 365 subscription

I own a legal copy of Office 2019 and wish to use MS Word (track changes, etc) on my Android device.  However, it would appear that I have to purchase a subscription to Office 365 in order to do so.  I have no wish to use Microsoft subscription services and as I have a valid and legal licence of Microsoft Office fail to understand why I have to purchase a subscription to use the software on an Android device.

    Hi ARW2312

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

Office 2019 will only work on a Windows 10 device or a Mac, on an android device, you have two choices, and it depends on your screen size, which is the best choice

The Office App, which is available form the Google Play Store, is free to use on Devices with a screen size of 10.1" or less

If you have a screen size greater than that size and you do not want to pay a subscription, you can use the free Office Apps in a web browser

Also, the Android App and the free online version of the Office Apps have good functionality, but do not have the full functionality of the Windows 10 applications . . .

Microsoft clearly states on its website and in the license agreement that Office 2019 can be used on 1 PC or Mac only, while Microsoft 365 (the subscription service) can be used on multiple devices (PC, Mac, tablet, phone).

Your valid Office 2019 license does not extend to Android phones/tablets.
