How to convert all slides to images but have them all open in ppt.

Hello,

I have a question. I am a lecturer and I want to convert all of my slides to images and delete all my notes in my slides so I can share them with students.
Essentially within PowerPoint I want the slides to each appear as an image. This will get rid of any animations I have created and videos I have embedded. Is there a way to do this easily? My mac will only let me convert the slides to pdf. Would really appreciate the help with this.

You should save as a PowerPoint Picture Presentation. Make sure you keep a copy of the original and do not save over it - PPt should do this for you but since they both have a pptx suffix it is not difficult to make a mistake and there is no way back.

This option is near the end of the list of save as types.

    Hi ChrisRudyk,

I believe you must be using Save As option which lets you save the PPT to PDF but if you want to save slides in a picture format such as PNG or JPEG etc., use Export option instead.

    1. Click File > Export.
    2. On the File Format menu, select the picture format that you want, such as JPEG or PNG.
    3. Select either Save Every Slide or Save Current Slide Only. You may also enter a size for your slide images in the Width and Height boxes.

If you choose to save every slide, your presentation will be saved as individual image files, one for each slide.

Reference: Export your PowerPoint for Mac presentation as a different file format

If you open an exported image, it will open in your picture viewer app. As you mentioned you want them to open in PowerPoint, you can insert these pictures in a new PowerPoint presentation which you can then share with your students.

If you need any help, let us know.

    Regards,

    Neha

Sorry, John, that's a great suggestion but unless the user has access to a PC that is not an available option. In the Mac product neither Save As nor Export include that type:
