I've deleted the app Facebook, but something on my laptop is indicating that Facebook isn't "all gone"

This is driving me crazy! I deleted the Facebook app (I can't contact Facebook because they have locked my account so please don't ask me to try and sign into Facebook!) For many reasons I need to delete EVERYTHING to do with Facebook. I operate on Windows 10. Please help me, this is urgent!

Hi Lynn. I'm Greg, awarded MVP for eleven years, Volunteer Moderator, and Independent Advisor here to help you until this is resolved.

Facebook doesn't have a WIndows app, just the Messenger. If you have Messenger in Settings > Apps > Apps & Features or anything else named Facebook, uninstall them there.

You had to be opening Facebook in a browser in WIndows 10, so get rid of the shortcuts to it and if necessary reset the browser to get rid of any Facebook cookies or history: https://www.howtogeek.com/171924/how-to-reset-y...

If anything is left please post back a screenshot following this guide to capture a screenshot and attach it using Attach Image button in reply box: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/o...

I hope this helps. Based on what you report back I can answer any questions and may have other steps to perform.

Hi Greg, I am so grateful for your reply, I couldn't uninstall Messenger because the uninstall box was greyed out, but I did manage to check the box (Terminate box). I'd done what you said to do, I won't know if it works until I click on my zoom lecture link which is "live" on Friday. Even the uni's IT dept weren't as helpful as you, so it is really appreciated. I will let you know what happens. Best wishes, Lynn from Australia!
